The Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Iran, Sergei Aleinik and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, met in Tehran on the eve of the official visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Iran, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The top diplomats of Belarus and Iran discussed the state and dynamics of the development of bilateral relations, paying special attention to the practical implementation of Belarusian-Iranian projects. The plan of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations was also touched upon.
The parties emphasized the constructive nature of cooperation between Minsk and Tehran and highlighted the need to intensify bilateral contacts. The parties had an exchange of views on the most promising areas of trade, economic and investment cooperation. Joint steps were identified to further strengthen the Belarusian-Iranian dialogue in areas of mutual interest.
