Prosecutor urges to imprison anarchist Paliyenka for 6 years

Prosecutor is asking to imprison anarchist Zmitser Paliyenka for 6 years. The time he has spent in the detention centre will be included in the term and it will also be reduced by 12 months as a result of the amnesty.
According to the prosecution, Zmitser Paliyenka attacked Alyaksei Yuryn with pepper spray in Hurski Street on the evening of March 13. He did it after a remark about smoking in the lobby. Yuryn hit him on the head and he used pepper spray for self-defense, the defendant said.
"The man has understood his deed. He is young. Why spoil his life? I am asking for a mild sentence,” Alyaksei Yuryn said after the prosecutor’s speech.
