Russia and Belarus have agreed on almost 90% of the program to deepen integration between the two countries. Further talks will be held at the level of Prime Ministers who are due to meet on 21 June in Minsk, Russian Minister for Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin said after the talks with Belarusian Economy Minister Dzmitry Kruty in Moscow, reports TASS.
According to Mr Oreshkin, three weeks ago Belarus Prime Minister Siarhei Rumas mentioned 70% of the agreed road-map during the meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. Now Moscow mentions the progress at 90%.
The key issues when it comes to further integration deal with the regulation in the industrial, energy and agricultural sectors. The program's implementation schedule is tight: we are not talking about decades, Mr Oreshkin said.
Belarus' Dzmitry Kruty said earlier after the talks with the Russian minister that the updated program of integration within the Union State of Russia and Belarus would be planned for the period through the years of 2022/23.
