A new criminal case has been started against one of the people involved in the recently closed ‘White Legion’ case. A cartridge has been found in the flat belonging to designer Andrei Byalyauski. He is charged with “illegal production, storage, transportation or ownership of weapons, ammunition, blasting assemblies, etc.”(part 2 of article 295 of the Criminal Code). Interestingly, the new case was started by the Investigation Committee on November 27 – the day when the ‘White Legion’ case was closed.

Andrei Byalyauski was detained on March 28. He was accused of ‘training and preparation for mass riots’. The young man was let off on June 2. The criminal case was closed last week.

Byalyauski’s case is not the only one, rights defenders refer to unofficial sources. There seems to be one more person suspected of storing ammunition. The person was also involved in the ‘White Legion’ case.
