An action of solidarity with people detained for ‘the patriots’ case’ and with a number of other political prisoners was held in Minsk on Thursday, June 22. More than 10 people (including Volha Mikalaichyk and Maxim Vinyarski) took part in it. They brought portraits of the detained and the banner “Release Political Prisoners”. Nobody was detained but the police warned the present that the action was unauthorized and asked them to leave. The police were filming the protest, Radio Liberty reports.
14 people suspected of being connected with ‘the patriots’ case’ (“the White Legion case”) are still in jail. They were accused of ‘preparation for mass riots’ at first and of ‘creation of an illegal armed unit’ later. KGB has already sent the case to the Investigation Committee.
