The Belarusian KGB has stopped criminal cases for ‘the preparation for mass riots’ (part3, article 293 of the Criminal Code) started against six members of the Young Front. The former suspects have received letters informing them about the absence of corpus delicti in their actions. Similar letters were sent to Zmitser Dashkevich, Syarhei Palcheuski and Raman Vasilyeu earlier. Zmitser Kremyanetski, Uladzimir Yaromenak and Artsyom Leuchanka have received the same letters this time, spring96.org reports.

The prosecution of people suspected of ‘preparation for mass riots’ has been stopped only for those who are not suspected of ‘creating an illegal armed unit’ (article 287 of the Criminal Code), rights defenders note. 14 people detained in March in connection with ‘the patriots’ case’ are still in jail.
