On February 24, Belarus will host a high-ranking delegation of the European Union. The delegation will be headed by Deputy Director General of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) Katarina Mathernova and Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Laszlo Baranyay. It was announced at a press briefing by the Head of Information Department, MFA press secretary Dzmitry Mironchyk.
The EU delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives of the National Bank, the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance and Administration of the President. They will discuss the development of economic cooperation between our country and the European Union.
On Monday, the EU Council lifted most sanctions against Belarus. Aliaksandr Lukashenka said that the leadership of our country is fully satisfied with this step.
