Belarus entry-ban for Ukrainian politician Evgeni Chervonenko

Ukrainian politician and businessman Evgeni Chervonenko has not been allowed to enter Belarus. He learnt about it at the airport in Minsk, RIA Novosti reports quoting the Belarusian State Border Committee.

Fortier guards did not explain the reason for the entrance refusal.

Evgeni Chervonenko will turn 56 one of these days. He was born in Dnipropetrovsk. He is an ex-member of the Ukrainian parliament. He was also a member of the administration of the party Our Ukraine. He worked as an engineer in the Soviet times and was a professional racing driver. He started doing business in the 1980s and became a dollar millionaire. He used to be ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma’s advisor, presidential candidate Victor Yushchenko’s head of the guard service and the Minister of Transport and Communications in Yuliya Timoshenko’s government.
