Lukashenka meets with Putin and Nazarbayev in Sochi


The official part of the Belarusian President’s visit to Russia includes participation in the Forum of the Regions.

An informal trilateral meeting of Vladimir Putin, Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Nursultan Nazarbayev was held in the Russian President’s residence on September 15. The official leaders of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan exchanged opinions about the functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union and touched upon a number of important international problems.

The sides agreed to continue the practice of regular personal contacts ‘to synchronize the watches’ in the field of Eurasian integration and on the international arena.

Nazarbayev arrived in Sochi to take part in the XII Forum of Inter-regional cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan on September 16. Lukashenka’s programme includes a visit to the II Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus on September 18, the Kremlin press service reports.

Putin, Lukashenka and Nazarbayev arrived in Sochi from Dushanbe. A CSTO summit was held there yesterday, BelaPAN reports.
