Ex-political prisoner Mikola Statkevich was summoned to the police on September 8, Nasha Niva reports. The reason for it was Statkevich’s intention to organize a picket near Minsk GUM and demand a free election on September 10.
Mikola Statkevich is still monitored by the police and has to check in there from time to time. He was summoned to Minsk City Executive Committee Department of the Interior on Tuesday. The politician met with police chief Alyaksandr Barsukou.
He was asked to sign some written warning but refuse to do it, Statkevich noted.
