The sixth round of modernization consultations with the EU was organized in Brussels on Thursday. Belarus was represented by deputy Foreign Minister Alena Kupchyna and the European Union - by European External Action Service (EEAS) Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia Regional Cooperation and OSCE countries Gunnar Wiegand.
The results of the previous rounds and ‘prospects of cooperation in priority directions based on the agreements reached in 2014-2015’ were discussed at the meeting, the Belarusian MFA press service reports.
Alena Kupchyna also met the administration and representatives of the European External Action Service, European Commission and European Parliament delegation for relations with Belarus. The development of Belarus-EU relations were discussed there.
