The Belarusian President is paying a three-day visit to this country.
Belarus is China’s ‘old and reliable partner’, Alyaksandr Lukashenka announced at the meeting with Vice PM of the People's Republic of China Zhang Gaoli. The Belarusian leader noted that China had made ‘many new friends’ as soon as it had become one of the most influential countries in the world, BELTA reports.
“But Belarus-China relations have a long history. Belarus’ contemporary history is connected with the People’s Republic of China. We are not situational friends, we are old friends of the Chinese people and our relations are very good,” Lukashenka said.
The two countries should have more contacts to realize their agreements efficiently, the Belarusian President added.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka is paying a three-day visit to China. The Belarusian leader will take part in the festivities dated for the 70th anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War and the end of the WWII. Belarusians will be among the foreign military men from 17 countries at Beijing parade on September 3.
