A delegation of EU officials stayed in Belarus between October 20 and October 23 as part of preparations for signing a 2015 program of cooperation betweeen Belarus and the European Union.
The delegation consisted of three officials of the Development and Cooperation-EuropeAid, the European Commission’s directorate general that provides development assistance worldwide, and one representative of the European External Action Service, the EU Delegation to Belarus told BelaPAN.
The EU officials had meetings with representatives of the foreign ministry, the environmental protection ministry, international donor organizations and environmental groups, and officers of Minsk-based embassies of EU countries.
The delegation also visited the city of Masty, Hrodna region, where a waste management project had been carried out with the EU’s financial assistance.
