Russian television channels will never be banned in Belarus, Henadz Davydzka, head of the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company, told reporters in Minsk on October 9.
Mr. Davydzka, a former MP and theater actor, criticized the Ukrainian authorities for banning broadcasts of 14 Russian TV channels in the country for what they described as anti-Ukrainian and pro-war propaganda.
"This is a stupid proposal," said Mr. Davydzka. "We live in an information environment where any bans are senseless, everything can be watched on the Internet."
