A Belarusian citizen was arrested in Ukraine's city of Odessa on suspicion of funding and coordinating pro-Russian protests, Belarus' ONT television channel reported on July 6.
The report said that the Belarusian had arrived in Ukraine for a vacation.
Earlier this month, the Security Service of Ukraine said that it had arrested two Russians and a Belarusian suspected of financing and organizing pro-Russian protests in Odessa.
The agency said that the suspects had arrived in Odessa in late June to accomplish the Russian intelligence service's task of organizing protests for the purpose of destabilizing the situation in the region.
The unnamed men were accused of, among other, inciting mass disorder and paying media outlets for running critical reports about Ukraine's current government and pro-Russian reports.
The Belarusian foreign ministry has not yet received formal notification from the Ukrainian authorities of the Belarusian suspect's arrest, Dzmitry Mironchyk, spokesman for the ministry, told BelaPAN on Monday morning.
