The police is following several leads to investigate the Right Sector activist's killing in western Ukraine.
Coordinator of the Right Sector Alexander Myzuchko aka Sashko Bily was shot dead near the city of Rivne last night. Information about the details of the murder is contradictory ranging from a shoot-out between groups of people in Karasi café to an attack by a group of armed people who captured the activist of the Right Sector and shot him in the heart twice. The murder is being investigated by the police.
There are three versions of the murder, espreso.tv reports. The first one is a gangland-style shoot-out. Sashko Bily was well-known in the underworld and had a previous conviction for racket.
The second version poins to a Russian trace. Some Russian terrorist organization or a pro-Russia organization in Ukraine may claim responsibility for the murder soon. However, it would not be beneficial for Russians to kill Muzychko right now – his activities were used for propaganda on Russian TV channels – Bily was used to scare people and to demonstrate the anarchy in Ukraine.
The third version is a frame-up aimed at crossing up the Ukrainian riot police. Sashko Bily said previously that Ukraine's Office of Prosecutor General and the Ministry of Internal Affairs had decided to kill him because there were scared to arrest him. Alexander Myzhychko’s associates mentioned this version after the murder.
The provocation that may cause certain actions on behalf of the Right Sector may give Russian mass media a good opportunity to show ‘the anarchy and horrors in Ukraine’ and ‘shoot-outs of Maidan mafia’. To prevent this scenario, the Ukrainian MFA and SBU need to find the murderers as soon as possible, espreso.tv notes.
