Warsaw has recalled its Ambassador to Belarus Henrik Litvin for a consultation. The reason for it is the takeover of the Polish House in Ivyanets.
The Belarusian Ambassador to Poland Victar Haisyonak was summoned to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affaires on February 8. According to the AFN, Poland demands to explain the takeover of the Polish House in Ivyanets by the police.
A representative of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that Polish diplomats had not been allowed to enter the Polish House.
Let us remind you that officers of the court accompanied by policemen arrived at the Polish House in Ivyanets on February 8. They did not allow representatives of the Union of Poles in Belarus headed by Anzhalika Borys to enter the building.
According to Radio "Liberty", the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also recalled the Polish Ambassador to Belarus Henrik Litvin to Warsaw for a consultation.
The press secretary of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pyotr Pashkowski has claimed that the recall of the ambassador for a consultation is a political signal indicating that Polish diplomats have a negative opinion about the measures the Belarusian authorities took in connection with Belarusian Poles.
