Total of 7.2 percent of voters take part in early vote

A total of 7.2 percent of voters took part in early vote this week on September 18 and September 19, Mikalay Lazavik, secretary of the central election commission, told BelTA on Thursday.

According to Mr. Lazavik, the highest turnout was detected for two days of the early vote in the Vitsebsk region. There were 8.2 percent of voters from among a list of those who should have voted. A total of 8.1 percent of the voters are in the Mahilow region and 6.5 percent in the Brest region accordingly. In the Minsk region there were 6.4 percent of the voters, while in the Hrodna region those are 6.3 percent.

He said that the turnout in the polling stations of Minsk had amounted to 7.1 percent.
