The Belarusian army ranks 39th in the ranking of military might of Global Firepower. It occupies the place between Argentina (38) and Romania (40).
The Russian army, however, remains the most powerful in the post-Soviet space occupying the second place in the rating. Ukraine ranks 29th.
Poland ranks 24th, while Lithuania -- 81st and Latvia -- 105th.
The list of leaders includes the armies of the United States, Russia, China, India, France, Japan, South Korea, Great Britain, Turkey, and Germany.
To compile the rating, the authors of the Global Firepower Index use a complex assessment methodology which takes into account more than 50 different factors.
