Russia forbids supplies from 5 Belarusian dairy factories

The Russian Agricultural Inspectorate has restricted the supplies from 5 Belarusian dairy factories, Belarus ‘has not taken the necessary measures to stop the supplies of dangerous products to Russia’, the inspectorate notes. Russian inspectors visited the factories and revealed violations in October.

Russians are not satisfied with products supplied from Homel (Milkavita), Rahachou (Rahachouski MKK), Slutsk (Slutsk cheese-making plant), Navahrudak (Dairy Company Navahrudak Cheeses) and Smarhon (Smarhon Dairy Products). The temporary restrictions will come into force on December 7.

The Russian Agricultural Inspectorate introduced a special sanitary regime for products imported to Russia from Belarus on December 2. Hundreds of incidents when fruit and vegetables had false certificates had caused it. It will be necessary to verify all documents in five days.
