Several thousand Russian football fans are going to come to Minsk.
It has been stated by the president of “Russia Unites” Fan club Eduard Latypov.
On May 5 in an interview to BelaPAN Latypov explained that the response of Minsk city council to the desire of Russian fans to march down the streets of central Minsk is still unknown. As said by him, the club has sent a letter to Minsk authorities, and it states the intentions of Russian fans to take part in celebration of Victory Day in Minsk. “No one has banned it, and naturally, cannot prohibit fans to join the column of Minsk dwellers. If you come to Moscow and want to take part in the celebration, you wouldn’t ask for the permission from the Kremlin,” Latypov said.
He stressed once again that it isn’t about holding a march or demonstration.
According to Latypov, several thousand Russian fans are going to arrive to Minsk.
The website of Russia Unites also informs that on May 9 the House of Russian team’s fans opens in a Minsk club called “Overtime”. Viewing of all matches with participation of the Russian team and other key games of the championship, meetings of fans with hockey players, autograph signing sessions, competitions between hockey fans of different countries are to take place there.
