Belarus has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of pork from Ukraine, BelTA learnt from the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Belarus.
The Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision informed that Ukraine had suspended certification of live pigs and pork products exported to the Russian Federation. “Taking into consideration that Belarus is part of the customs union with Russia, the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision is going to impose temporary restrictions on the import of live pigs and pork products from Ukraine to Belarus,” the department said.
Belarus cancels all previously issued permits for the import of pork from Ukraine.
