Belarus Lowers Export Duty on Oil, Petroleum Products

BelaPAN

Belarus lowered the rate of export duty on crude oil from $271 to $267 per ton on January 1, said the Council of Ministers secretariat.

The duty rate on light petroleum products (light and middle distillates, gasoil, liquefied petroleum gases, benzene, toluene and xylol) was reduced from $194.9 to $192.2 and the rate on dark petroleum products (fuel oils, petroleum coke, asphalt and other petroleum byproducts) from $105 to $103.5.

Under an interstate agreement signed in 2007, Belarus has to apply the same export duty rates to oil and petroleum products as Russia.

Russia changes the rates depending on the world market situation.
