Monday, December 12, at end of trading on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, the Belarusian ruble strengthened against the dollar by Br20 to Br8.5, while euros - by Br10 to Br11.31. It’s the lowest dollar rate since early November. At the same time, the Russian ruble appreciated by Br271.
The dollar trading volume on December 12 declined in 1.4 times against Friday's trading and amounted to nearly $49.8 million. Moreover, the volume of dollar supply for sale amounted to $51.6 million, BelTA informs.
The volume of transactions on the Russian ruble also decreased - from RUB847.7 million to RUB727.7 million.
At the same time, the volume of euro transactions twice exceeded Friday's level and amounted to almost €17.1 million.
