The central office of Gazprom welcomed a regular board meeting of company chairman Alexey Miller and Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas. Parties are about to complete the talks over the contract for supply and transportation of Russian gas through Belarus, as well as the sale of Beltransgaz remaining shares to Gazprom.

The negotiators say the documents will be ready for signing in November, reported in Gazprom.

On September 23, head of the Russian Gazprom Alexei Miller said after meeting with President of Belarus that the parties were "ready for a serious set of documents" on gas supplies to Belarus on January 1, 2012, as well as the sale of Beltransgaz stake to Gazprom. Alexander Lukashenko asked Alexei Miller to resolve the gas price issue as soon as possible.

The head of the House of Representatives of Standing Committee on Budget, Finance and Tax Policy, Alexander Antonenko, reported on October 3 that the gas price to Belarus could grow to $288 per thousand cubic meters in 2012. Deputy Energy Minister Yuri Rymashevski noted on October 11 that the Belarusian authorities didn't expect that the integration factor to the Russian gas price would solve the problem with its purchase.
