From October 1 bring your passport to an exchange office

Selling the currency for the population by the use of passport will be introduced in Belarus from October 1. Nadezhda Ermakova the Chairman of the National Bank of Belarus told BelTA.

"The purchase of foreign currency by the use of passport will be introduced from October 1. Software is almost ready, but we'll still be testing," - said the head of the National Bank.

Meanwhile she also noted, that the single accounting system will be implemented in all banks. Also she says that the introduction of any limits on the amount of purchased currency is not planned.
