The reserves of the natural gas next winter will amount to nearly 900 million cubic meters in Belarus, Tamara Astrouskaya from the energy department at the Ministry of Economy, told reporters in Minsk.
"If we talk about the necessary volume, the elements of costs are not a priority. In this case, energy security is the most important element for this country. We have already pumping gas to the gas reservoirs in Mozyr. As for the last year, we have already emptied the reservoir. We began removing gas on December 15 last year and ended on April 14 this year", she said.
Beltransgaz petrcohemical monopoly is expected to finish pumping gas reserves into underground reserviors by November 20.
