The Finance Ministers of the EurAsEC member-states met in Moscow on 25 February to define the limits of the access to the resources of the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund for its participating countries, Vice Premier, Finance Minister of Russia Aleksei Kudrin told media.
According to the decision taken at the meeting, Belarus can count on 21% of the fund, Russia is entitled to 37%, Kazakhstan – 24%, Armenia – 13%, Kyrgyzstan – 3% and Tajikistan – 2%. The EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund totals $8.550 billion n 2010.
According to Aleksei Kudrin, Kyrgyzstan has already applied for a $160 million loan. Such applications are first considered by the Anticrisis Fund group of experts and in the Eurasian Development Bank. The consideration of the Kyrgyz application can take two to three months. After that it is to be submitted to the Anticrisis Fund Council.
According to the Russian official, the Anticrisis Fund is ready to receive applications for investment projects. Such applications will be soon received from Belarus and Armenia, Aleksei Kudrin said. Interstate investment projects including those of an anticrisis character will be considered on the first-priority basis, he stressed.
