Belarus, China ink agreement on trade in services, on making investments
An agreement between the governments of Belarus and China on trade in services and on making investments was signed in Minsk on 22 August during an official visit of Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang to Belarus, BelTA has learned.

The document was signed by Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar and Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao.

The agreement provides the legal foundation for advancing trade and investment relations between the two countries. It provides for setting up a zone of free trade in services between Belarus and China. It provides for enabling a transparent, liberal, and favorable investment regime for raising investments. It also lays the groundwork for advancing cooperation in new fields while observing (protecting) interests of both sides in the most sensitive segments of the economies.

Belarus is the first Eurasian Economic Union country China has signed such an agreement with.
