Roman Golovchenko said: “The industrial park Great Stone remains a central object on our radar. China President Xi Jinping described it as a pearl of the new Silk Road. At present the park is home to 134 resident companies from 13 countries, with the volume of investments at $1.5 billion. More than half of the residents are companies with Chinese capital. As many as 26 new residents were registered in 2023. As many as 18 new companies have been registered this year.”
The parties agreed that they would develop the park as an international industrial and logistic cluster while focusing on investments, technologies, and the development of traditional and innovative Chinese medicine.
Dynamic advancement of Belarus-China interaction in humanitarian affairs was also discussed. “For instance, Belarusian and Chinese higher education institutions have signed over 700 direct agreements on cooperation. Over 11,000 students from China go to Belarusian universities. The number of Belarusians in Chinese universities is on the rise. We are going to create new education programs and projects with Chinese partners,” the prime minister noted.
