The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim has arranged the delivery of 160,000 tonnes of oil from the Azerbaijani company SOCAR.
Belneftekhim spokesman Aleksandr Tishchenko told BELTA news state agency oil will be delivered across Ukraine via the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline.
Six Russian companies will also supply oil to Belarus in March. In addition to Mikhail Gutseiyev's Safmar, there will be five more companies who are newcomers in Belarus, according to Tishchenko.
The Russian companies have agreed to supply oil without a premium.
"All in all for March, we expect two tankers of oil from the North and two more from the South. Oil supplies via the pipeline from Russia will be delivered by six companies," Tishchenko explained.
