Real incomes of Belarusians down by 8% in 2016

In 2016, real disposable money income of Belarusians fell by 7.3%, National Statistical Committee reports.
Remuneration takes 61.9% of the total amount of cash income, income from business and other income-generating activities – 8.4%, transfers to the population (pensions, benefits, scholarships, etc.) – 23.9%, revenues from property etc. – 5.8%.
Ministry of Economy previously expected that real disposable income will increase by 0.5%. In turn, during the big press-conference he held recently, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that wages in 2017 must increase to $500 per month.
