Minimum prices for 28% strong alcohol and ethyl alcohol will increase in Belarus at the beginning of October.
This is due to the order of the Ministry of Commerce #26 dated 8 August 2016 which is now posted on the National Legal Internet Portal.
According to the document, the minimum selling price for a half-liter of 40% domestic alcohol will be Br 4,4, the retail price – Br 5,58 rubles. The selling price for imported alcohol sold in Belarus will be Br 8,8.
Trade Minister Uladzimir Kaltovich noted that it should not have any influence on the retail price of alcoholic beverages, as the current selling prices are above the minimum ones.
