A spokesman for the Iranian Parliamentary Security and Foreign Policy Committee Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said on Saturday that under Iranian law and the consent of parliament, Iran “should receive 20 thousand megawatts of electricity from nuclear power plants.”
“To do this we need to build ten nuclear power plants,” said Hosseini.
He noted that Iran will build nuclear power plants based on Russian technology.
Hosseini stated that the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency had prepared the necessary documents for the construction of nuclear power plants. According to officials, the simultaneous construction of ten stations is impossible: there are plans to build two stations at the same time.
