The Belarusian delegation negotiated with the International Monetary Fund in Washington. Belarus representatives wtook part in the spring IMF and World Bank session on April 15 and 16.
Deputy head of the National Bank Dzmitry Kalechyts was the head of the Belarusian delegation, BelaPAN reports. Senior deputy Minister of Finance Maksim Yermalovich and the President’s assistant for economic affairs Kiryl Rudy were members of the delegation.
The Belarusian authorities had hoped that the IMF programme would have been signed in the first two months of 2016. However, it did not happen for some reason. Minsk expects to get a $3bn credit.
The IMF worsened the Belarusian economy forecast on Thursday.
