A total of 9 commercial banks in Belarus finshed the year of 2015 in the red, Belarusbank standing out with Br320.8 billion in losses just in the final quarter of last year, reports Business News. The list of loss-making banks also includes MTBank, RRB-Bank, N.E.B. Bank.
The banking sector's total net profit amounted to Br1356.8 billion in the first quarter, Br1900.8 billion in the second quarter, Br1914.1 in the third quarter and Br487.8 billion in the fourth quarter.
The combined annual net profit of Belarusian banks shrank by almost one third down to Br 5659.4 billion against 7733.3 billion in 2014.
