The Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus and Lithuania’s Economy Ministry have signed a program of cooperation in the area of tourism for 2016 and 2017. The program was inked as a result of a new meeting of the Belarusian-Lithuanian working group for tourism cooperation. According to the press office of the Belarusian ministry, the program provides for holding business forums and meetings between representatives of the two countries’ business circles, exchanging statistical data, participating in tourism exhibitions, and running tours to acquaint Belarusian and Lithuanian journalists with the other country’s tourism potential. Before signing the agreement, participants at the meeting discussed the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the area of tourism, some new trends in the development of tourism infrastructure, and the implementation of marketing projects and cooperation between tour operators in the two countries. The Belarusian delegation also attended Adventur 2016, an international exhibition aimed at promoting tourism services and active lifestyles, and informed those present about the country’s tourism potential.
