Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed the denomination order on Wednesday, November 4. Four zeros will be removed from Belarusian money and new banknotes and kopecks will appear on July 1, 2016.
New banknotes and kopecks will be introduced.
“The denomination is a technical process will not affect the rouble’s purchase power, foreign currency exchange rates and the inflation rate,” the Belarusian National Bank notes. The prices will be changed according to the denomination rate on July 1. 2016 – 1:10 000. An item that costs Br100 thousand now, will cost 10 roubels on July 1, 2016.
Both new and old prices will be indicated in all shops form July 1, 2016 until December 31, 2016.
