He accepted the news about the cancellation of sanctions imposed on him and his companies by the EU ‘calmly’, Yury Chyzh claimed. “I have got used to working under the sanctions in three years,” BelaPAN quotes Chyzh.
The European Union has not confirmed the cancellation of the sanctions yet, the businessman added. “The bankers have told me that I am still on the waiting list”.
The European Union Court lifted the sanctions from Yury Zhyzh, his group of companies Triple and FC Dynama-Minsk on October 6. The EU Council has not managed to prove the fact that Chyzh was financially supporting Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s regime.
The businessman was blacklisted by the EU ‘for rendering financial support to the Lukashenka regime with the help of his enterprise Triple involved in different spheres of the Belarusian economy’ in March 2012.
The entrepreneurs cannot assess the losses he had suffered as a result of the European sanctions because he has not tried calculating them. However, his companies have not suffered any direct loss, Chyzh said.
