The losses figure was announced by First Deputy Minister of Food Agriculture Leanid Marynich.

In the first four months of 2015, Belarus lost 180 million dollars on food exports to Russia. This figure was announced by First Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture Leanid Marynich, BelaPAN reports.

The official said the reasons for the losses were the instability of the ruble, the price factor, and the decline in supply. Mr Marynich added that Belarus is not faced with the issue of restoring food supplies to the Russian market at any price. According to him, the Belarusian side is only interested in receiving economic benefits for each company.

He also said that now the situation with the export of agricultural products to Russia has stabilized.

Incidentally, last year, due to the devaluation of the Russian ruble, exporters of agricultural products lost more than $360 million.
