More than 1.2 million Belarusians work for less than $500 per month.
Almost 40% of workers, accounted by official statistics, received a salary of less than 5 million rubles in October, BelaPAN reports. These statistics do not account for small organizations employing up to 15 people and individual entrepreneurs.
According to statistics, in October such organizations employed 3.2 million people. Salaries of more than 1.2 million people were less than 5 million rubles (less than $500).
Incidentally, the average salary of employees in recent months remained practically unchanged. In August, it was 6.36 mln rubles, in September - 6.34 million rubles. In October - 6.38 mln rubles.
