Minsk, 19 June. Belarusian small and medium-sized businesses have every kind of opportunity to get involved in projects carried out by the European Union, Audrone Urbonaviciute, deputy head of the Operations Section at the EU Delegation to Belarus, told reporters in Minsk on June 19.
"Our doors are open to all partners and companies," she said, adding that project participants were selected on a competitive basis as a rule.
Viktar Nazaranka, head of Belarus` State Standardization Committee, stressed that small and medium-sized businesses were welcome to join such projects.
The official also urged private businesses to participate more actively in discussions with government agencies.
"It`s a problem for us to engage anyone in solving some problem or other," he said. "We send our proposals to business associations, inviting them to take part and take an active attitude."
