A new deposit of crude oil was discovered in the Homyel region earlier this year, said the press office of state-owned oil company Belarusnafta.The deposit was found after workers drilled an exploratory well in the Khoyniki district. The deposit was said to yield almost 30 tons of oil daily.More than 60 oil deposits are exploited in Belarus at present, with oil being extracted from a total of almost 700 wells.
