Party Belarusian Popular Front

The Belarusian Popular Front was founded in October 1988; it was the first democratic political party in the recent Belarusian history. Its main goal is free person in independent and European Belarus.

BPF Party supports European choose of Belarus. Party’s ideology is similar to the European national, conservative and Christian- democratic traditions.


Chairman


Alyaksey Yanukevich was born in Minsk on June 30, 1976.

Graduated from Belarusian State Economic University with a degree in Foreign Economic Activities Management in 1997. He joined the party in 1996 and was elected to its board in 1999. Mr. Yanukevich ran in the 2003 and 2007 local elections and the 2004 and 2008 parliamentary elections.

During the 2006 presidential campaign, he was a member of opposition candidate Alyaksandr Milinkevich's team.

Mr. Yanukevich was deputy chairman of the BPF since 2003.

In September 2009 was elected as the new chairman of the BPF Party.
